Along with our interior design studio, Wimberly Interiors, we specialize in hospitality, gaming + entertainment, urban + mixed-use, and high-end residential design.WATG is hiring a Project Manager in Architecture for our office in Tustin, Orange County, California.The Project Manager is responsible for the overall coordination and management of the internal and external project team, focusing on three primary goals: 1. Maximizing the design value of the project; 2. Achieving technical excellence; and 3. Achieving the expected financial results. The Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing large or several small-scale projects through all phases of development until completion The position has the overall project responsibility for client engagement, design and technical quality control, resourcing, and financial performance.Responsibilities include:Successfully represents the client's goals and needs of the team and WATG's requirements to the clientCreates the project work plan and adjusts the work plan as needed as the project proceedsNegotiates additional services as appropriateMonitors project processes and quality to make sure that design concepts meet internal and external expectationsCreates detailed project schedules, work breakdown structure, and budgets, and maintains the work plan through regular monitoring and communication, and by making timely decisions and taking actions to meet project milestones and financial status and outcomeMaintains high-quality standards for design and production of the required deliverables on time and within budgetHas technical strength in a professional discipline or specific project type to successfully write project narratives, research code requirements, review cost estimates, design and technical deliverables, construction contract documents, and sub-consultant workUnderstands and manages the relationship between the project contract terms, the team assignments, budgets, and schedules, and controls the resulting impact on WATG's financial results, forecasts, and staffing plansManages timely and accurate billings and collectionsCoordinates with the principal and marketing/business development team's efforts related to business development, marketing, and negotiation in the procurement of new projects and clients, especially as it relates to additional work/add services from existing clientsAssists with the preparation of the contract, including terms and conditionsLeads effective team collaboration across service lines in external and internal project meetingsManages and monitors the day-to-day activities of the project team and their assignmentsSupervises and mentors team members toward effective and efficient project progress and professional developmentQualifications include:Professional degree from an appropriate accredited institutionProfessional license preferredEnvironmental accreditation desired when applicableMinimum of 10 years of related project management experienceProficient technical skills, including Revit, AutoCAD and 3D modeling software like Rhino, Grasshopper, and SketchUpExperience with the full project lifecycle through post-occupancy as appropriateKnowledge of building codes, standards, and building structuresConsistent track record of successful project deliveryExcellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills (internal and external)Proactive problem-solving skillsTravel may be requiredSalary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 per yearWATG is an Equal Opportunity Employer#LI-JH1Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
