About the Position

On our unit, the majority of patients are admitted with cardiac monitoring needs due to chemotherapy administration. Patients may present with soft tissue malignancies receiving diagnostic services and symptom management. Responsibilities include managing comorbidities and focusing on infection prevention protocols while minimizing patient falls. The nurse will utilize special equipment such as telemetry monitors and bladder scanners. Additionally, the nurse will manage Alaris pumps and Stryker beds. There will be a heavy emphasis on continuous monitoring and managing complications during treatment. All candidates are expected to have experience in a similar acute care setting within the last 12 months. Candidates must be able to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity levels. All applicants should have references from previous supervisors or managers. Prior travel experience is preferred but not required. This role requires strong clinical skills, particularly in oncology nursing, with an ability to manage complex patient care effectively. Candidates should be prepared for a high-paced environment and adapt to various patient needs.
