What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality pediatric ICU nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement patient care plans
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage advanced equipment (ventilators, cardiac monitors, PCA pumps, etc.)
• Respond swiftly to emergency situations, including ICU emergencies and code events
• Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records
• Educate families and caregivers about patient care and treatment plans
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or proper multi-state licensure
• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications
• At least 1 year of pediatric ICU nursing experience
• Experience with critical care equipment including vents, ICP monitors, and PICC line management
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

About the Assignment

Join a dedicated Pediatric ICU team caring for a variety of pediatric patients with complex needs. The unit handles approximately 5 rooms, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, including opportunities for floating to other pediatric or NICU units.
