We work across the product portfolio, bringing new ideas into applications and building the shared AI technology that helps teams innovate faster.The OpportunityAs a Principal AI Architect, you will turn advances in AI into applications and agents that solve enterprise problems. You will own architecture for defined solutions and platform components, working with product and engineering teams from early experimentation through production.You will also design the AI lifecycle and platform primitives that help teams build, deploy, and operate these solutions at scale. This hands-on role offers room to explore new approaches, build proofs of concept, and shape capabilities used across OpenText products. You will stay close to implementation, helping teams work through design choices and learning from how their solutions perform in production.You Are Great AtArchitecting AI solutions and agent workflows that connect enterprise information, applications, and tools.Designing how agents retrieve and assemble grounded context, use tools and memory, and coordinate work. Choosing among deterministic workflows, individual agents, and multi-agent patterns to meet the problem's needs with appropriate reliability and human oversight.Developing prototypes and reference implementations to validate architecture and guide teams into production.Designing lifecycle capabilities for evaluation, versioning, deployment, observability, and ongoing improvement, so changes to models, prompts, and agent behavior can be assessed and introduced confidently.Turning recurring solution needs into platform services and primitives, with clear APIs and reference implementations that make adoption practical for other application teams.Evaluating models and frameworks, making practical trade-offs across capability, reliability, latency, cost, and deployment requirements.Communicating designs through documents, diagrams, and demonstrations; leading design discussions and mentoring developers.What It Takes8+ years in software engineering or application architecture, including personally taking an AI capability from design through deployment and improvement. Enterprise application experience is highly desirable.Comfort developing in both Java and Python ecosystems, including APIs, services, and integrations. Evidence of personally building prototypes and contributing to working applications.Hands-on depth in a relevant agent development framework, with working familiarity across LangChain/LangGraph, Google ADK, and similar approaches, and the judgment to choose among them.Understanding of evolving AI methodologies and agent patterns, including context engineering, harnesses, multi-agent orchestration and choreography, and tool integration through MCP and A2A.Current knowledge of commercial and open model capabilities, limitations, and economics, with experience evaluating choices against real application needs and measuring quality, latency, and cost.Practical experience evaluating agent outcomes and execution, diagnosing production failures, and validating changes. Understanding of agent and tool permissions, untrusted inputs, and enterprise data boundaries.Strong application and cloud architecture skills, including distributed services, security, multi-tenancy, and operating production systems at scale.
