What You'll Do:

• Provide direct patient care to adults with conditions such as CVA, TIA, and COVID-related needs
• Manage complex clinical procedures including CVL placement, foley cath management, tube feedings, arterial lines, and diabetes management
• Administer drip titrations (Levophed, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Insulin)
• Support patient assessment and ensure safety through EKG competency
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including hospitalists, RTs, PTs, and OTs
• Follow all hospital protocols within EMR system (Meditech Expanse) and utilize IV pumps and Pyxis medication system
• Float between stepdown and med-surg units as needed
• Maintain professionalism and adhere to dress code and patient confidentiality standards

What You Need:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or appropriate state
• Minimum 2 years of relevant acute care RN experience (first-time travelers need similar experience)
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Strong clinical skills in CVA/TIA, IV access, medication titration, and patient monitoring
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam prior to start

About the Assignment:

This assignment is based at a leading hospital in Bossier City, Louisiana, specializing in acute care and cardiac telemetry. The unit is equipped with modern EMR (Meditech Expanse) and advanced IV and medication management systems, providing a professional environment where skilled RNs can excel and grow. You will work a consistent schedule of 4 days one week and 3 days the next, with every other weekend rotation and participation in holiday shifts.
