Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician (Reliability Technician) works in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to safely perform preventive maintenance and repair of plant equipment. This role ensures equipment operates reliably, remains in good working condition, and complies with all relevant regulatory requirements. The technician supports a safe workplace by minimizing equipment downtime, improving reliability, and maintaining accurate, up-to-date compliance on all assigned systems.
Responsibilities
You join a reliable operation that offers steady work on established 2nd and 3rd shifts, providing predictable schedules and the opportunity to build deep technical expertise. The environment values safety, quality, and productivity, encouraging technicians to contribute ideas that improve processes and equipment reliability. You work with a supportive team that appreciates clear communication, initiative, and continuous improvement, giving you the opportunity to expand your skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Work Environment
This role is based in a clean, well-lit manufacturing facility that operates extrusion processes for plastic materials. The building can become warmer during the summer due to the nature of the extrusion operations, so comfort with working in elevated temperatures at times is important. The position supports 2nd shift (approximately 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.) and 3rd shift (approximately 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.), providing consistent, structured hours outside of standard daytime schedules. You regularly work with industrial equipment, including production machinery, electrical systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and various power and hand tools such as impact guns, drill presses, band saws, and grinders. You also operate multiple types of lift trucks, such as narrow aisle reach trucks, order pickers, and sit-down lifts, in a plant environment that emphasizes safety procedures and organized work practices. Dress typically aligns with an industrial manufacturing setting, including appropriate workwear and personal protective equipment as required by safety policies.
