Senior Avionics Test Engineer

Salary: $148,000 - 222,000 per year Requirements:

• Undergraduate or graduate degree (BS, MS, or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience with electronics hardware simulation or testing
• Familiarity with data acquisition and control system platforms such as NI, Beckhoff, or similar
• Experience using electronics test equipment such as power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and electronic loads
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as Ethernet, CAN, UART, and SPI
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Preferred: experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools such as Altium Designer
• Preferred: experience with analog sensors, including pressure transducers, RTDs, and accelerometers
• Preferred: familiarity with embedded software development and integration for avionics systems
• Preferred: familiarity with Python or MATLAB for data acquisition, recording, and analysis
• Preferred: familiarity with wire harness design
• Preferred: familiarity with CAD tools such as NX

• Develop frameworks and infrastructure for qualification and acceptance testing of Terran R avionics components
• Design avionics test equipment, including simulation circuits, auxiliary equipment, test harnesses, mechanical fixtures and enclosures, and system validation tools
• Collaborate with hardware and software design engineers to define test requirements and methodologies
• Create and maintain test plans and procedures for avionics systems
• Integrate, commission, and operate test rack hardware and software for component- and system-level functional testing
• Develop and execute testing strategies for rocket avionics, working with the avionics design team to identify and troubleshoot issues and improve testing infrastructure
