Position: Phlebotomy - Phlebotomist III - Floater
Contract: Temporary
Contract Duration: 6+ months contract
Hours: 40 hours/week
Shift/Availability: Monday-Friday, availability between 6:00 AM-8:30 PM CST , plus alternating Saturdays, 7:00 AM-2:00 PM CST
Additional Location: Must be willing to float to multiple locations based on business needs.

Job Summary:

The Patient Services Representative III - Floater (PSR III) performs high-quality blood collection and specimen processing while providing professional and compassionate patient care. The position may be assigned to a Patient Service Center, doctor's office, or other locations based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture and collect high-quality blood specimens following established procedures.
Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing .
Verify patient demographic information and initials before collection.
Obtain patient signature after venipuncture to confirm proper tube labeling and patient identification.
Prepare and process specimens accurately for laboratory testing.
Maintain required records and documentation.
Provide a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for patients.
Communicate effectively with patients, supervisors, and team members.
Demonstrate strong customer service and patient-care skills.
Work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Follow all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.
Travel between multiple Patient Service Centers and In-Office Phlebotomy locations as needed, sometimes with minimal notice.
Remain flexible to staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime .

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent - Required.
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience - Required.
Experience must include:
- Pediatric collections
- Geriatric collections
- Capillary collections
Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred.
Minimum 2 years of Patient Service Center experience preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Keyboard/data entry experience.
Strong phlebotomy and patient-care skills.
Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
Ability to travel and work at multiple locations.
Ability to work in a high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Schedule & Availability:

Monday-Friday: Must be available between 6:00 AM and 8:30 PM CST .
Alternating Saturdays: Must be available between 7:00 AM and 2:00 PM CST .
Flexible scheduling based on staffing and business needs.
May include weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
