Job Description: Title: Staff Assistant Unit: NUP Department: Administrative Vice President Reports To: Chief of Staff Date: June2026 Job Summary Roxbury Community College is seeking a knowledgeable professional who will provide administrative support to four vice presidents at the College. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, an initiative-taking approach, and the ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of discretion. Responsibilities and Duties Responsible for scheduling internal and external meetings for the Vice Presidents using Outlook. Schedule appointments via Zoom and Microsoft Teams Coordinate all travel arrangements for administrators Attend and take minutes at meetings as required. Provide a welcoming environment and assistance to RCC faculty, staff and students, as well as members of the external community. Manage confidential information with discretion. Create and maintain online filing systems for administrators Responsible for processing and follow-up on all invoices and payments. Answer incoming and place outgoing calls. Order office supplies. Requirements and Skills Associate's degree minimum, bachelor's preferred. Ability to work collaboratively on college-wide events with staff in other departments. Must be able to work effectively with all stakeholders Two-three years of experience providing support to high-level administrators. Excellent organizational, written, and verbal skills. A self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize assignments Ability to complete multiple tasks and manage time effectively in a challenging environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Zoom.
