Concert Services Event Staff

Eligibility Requirements Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate‑seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre‑registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters. Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN). Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable. A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester. Federal Work Study student may apply. In good disciplinary standing. Must be located in the U.S. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide front and back‑of‑house support for all events supported by Concert Production in the Conservatory’s four recital halls: Seully Hall, Houston Hall, Studio T401, and Ipswich 106. Stage and audience setups for Conservatory concerts and recitals. Serve as house manager and/or usher for all concert production supported events. Serve as stage crew during concerts and recitals, execute stage moves as needed. Run concert lighting as requested for all supported performances. Provide light technical support for events as needed. Track audience attendance, timing, and other event data for all supported performances. Provide stage crew assistance during off‑campus performances. Assist with setting up QR Codes for audience members. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Knowledge Familiarity with and appreciation for classical music, theater, and dance. High professional standards with positive attitude and demeanor. Punctuality, trustworthiness, and good reasoning skills. Attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work with others under pressure. Ability to take direction and apply new skills. Ability to multitask. Preferred Skills and Knowledge Previous production and/or stage crew experience.
