Our mental health care in the community is focused on preventative services to build resilient individuals and families. The primary focus of the Clinical Therapist is to provide in-home clinical services to birth and kinship families whose children are at risk of placement disruption due to emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges through a home-based counseling and support program that utilizes parent coaching, with a focus on integrating the skills into daily family life. The therapist utilizes a team approach and partners with the family in creating treatment goals. Families in this program receive up to five (5) hours of parent coaching (skill building) and counseling services per week for up to 12 weeks. Caseloads are intentionally low to ensure an appropriate level of time and intensity while working with families. The salary range reasonably expected for this position is $70,304 - $78,000. Salary Range $70,304 - $72,000/yr (ACSW / AMFT) $72,000 - $78,000/yr (LCSW/LMFT) Primary Responsibilities Responsible for delivering therapeutic interventions/services to and/or on behalf of the client that are consistent with established standards of practice and standards of proficiency discussed and established in clinical and administrative supervision. Provide Evidenced-based Practice (EBPs) interventions that are individualized and commiserate with the appropriate training, education, and respective model adherence requirements. Contribute to the development of the Family Service Plan with the identified family members. Monitor and document the client’s progress towards meeting the individualized objectives outlined in the Family Service Plan. Complete the required documentation of case consultations, individual and family services to track progress and increased/decreased level of functioning. Ensures compliance with and timeliness of documentation productivity standards and service delivery, and that documentation is submitted in accordance with established schedules. Attend and participate as necessary and scheduled treatment team, IEP, and/or Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings with partner agencies. Assist the client and family with input and contribution to any such meetings and serve as an advocate on behalf of the clients mental health needs and needed services. Other duties as outlined in the position description. Qualifications and Education A master’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university is required. California licensure as an Associate Social Worker (ASW), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), in good standing and registration with the BBS is required. Bilingual: (English/Spanish) is preferred. A minimum of two years of experience working with high-risk children, adolescents, adults and/or families within the Mental Health, Educational, Child Welfare and/or Juvenile Probation systems preferred. Experience working with kinship—knowledge of the child welfare system is preferred. Willingness and ability to make frequent field visits, attend meetings, conferences and other job related events away from headquarters. If driving a personal vehicle, must be approved by our agency’s automobile insurance carrier. Valid CA Driver License with a minimum of three (3) years good driving history and must be approved by the agency’s insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles.
