Assistant Aquatics Manager

Overview Assistant Aquatics Manager at Glenwood Hot Springs Resort, Glenwood Springs, CO. Salary: $57,000.00 – $63,000.00 annually. Full-time opening. All employees receive a pool pass and additional on-property discounts. Full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision and life insurance. Responsibilities Assist the Pool Manager and Assistant Pool Manager in the operation of the pools, Sopris Splash Zone, bathhouse, and related services and facilities in a safe and cost-effective manner. Ensure a quality guest experience and maintain an attractive work environment for employees. Act as the manager on duty when required, representing GHSR and carrying out responsibilities described in this job description. Support and exercise the authority necessary to carry out assigned tasks and responsibilities. Collaborate with team to maintain safety, cleanliness and efficiency of pool operations. Adapt to seasonal variations in business and staffing needs, including weekends, evenings and holidays. Qualifications Educational: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience: At least 1 year of management or supervisory experience with proven ability to lead staff; experience operating a public pool in a resort setting preferred. Licenses and Certifications (ability and willingness to obtain): Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatics Facility Operator (AFO); Red Cross Lifeguarding and Lifeguard Instructor; CPR for the professional rescuer; Oxygen administration; Automated external defibrillation (AED); Water Safety Instructor. Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills; guest-satisfaction and profit-oriented mindset; broad knowledge of administrative and operational responsibilities; ongoing competence as lifeguard and instructor; diagnostic, problem-solving and decision-making skills; process design and management; strong computer software skills. Physical and Other Requirements Adequate physical agility to perform tasks; ability to lift up to 70 lbs; ability to communicate verbally and in writing and read instructions. Drug-free workplace adherence.
