Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - 10 Hour Days

Location: Jackson, MS

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 10-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, Monday through Friday, with 2 weekdays and 1 weekend of call.

Job Description: Join our surgical unit as a Registered Nurse where you will work in a dynamic environment providing care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures. Candidates should have experience in general surgery, ortho fractures and scopes, plastics, GI, urology, pediatric dental, and surgical oncology.

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care in the surgical unit, ensuring a safe and effective environment.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient operations in the OR.
• Prepare patients for surgery and assist in post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate patient records utilizing Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a surgical setting.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS (if handling pediatric cases).
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
