SUBSTITUTE SCHOOL NURSE

Fallbrook Union Elementary School District (FUESD) is a K-8 district. FUESD is nestled in the foothills about 50 miles northeast of San Diego, California. The District extends from the Pacific Ocean I-5 (San Clemente Area) and East of the I-15.


Under the general supervision of the District Nurse and Administration the duties of the Substitute School Nurse are:

• To provide a variety of specialized health care services for students who are health impaired and/or have specialized health care needs
• To administer first aid to students and staff
• To maintain health service information and records
• To do related work as required

• REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING: Two (2) years of college course work in nursing, physiology or related field; two (2) years of nursing experience; or any combination of training and/or experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities. Willing to take additional training to treat specific medical conditions to permit students to effectively participate in instruction. Please provide 2 references (Preferably at least one from a supervisor - letters should be dated within the past year).
• REQUIRED LICENSE/CERTIFICATE: Current California registration as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse and First Aid/CPR Certificate.
• REQUIRED ATTACHMENTS (PDF): Certificate Copy - California Licensed Vocational Nurse/Registered Nurse
  CPR/First Aid Certification
  Letter of Recommendation - 1-2 (within the last year and preferably from most recent employer)
