divh2Job Title/h2pProvides positive customer interface, obtains and enters in computer all information needed for patients seen in the Clinic to ensure accurate billing./ph3Essential Functions Statement(s)/h3ulliGreets visitors and patients to determine their needs and directs them accordingly/liliCollects appropriate documentation from patient and enters into PM system/liliCollects copay, coinsurance or other balances owed on account/liliPrints billing slip for physician to mark services performed/liliSchedules follow-up appointments and cancels patient appointments due to no show/liliEnters charges same day of service/liliCodes diagnosis/liliReconciles payments daily/liliEnsures that claims are in drop status at charge entry/liliMaintains cash drawer for making change and balances it daily/liliVerifies that all billing slips are submitted at the end of the day/liliPrints appropriate registration forms from medical record system for future appointments/liliObtains precertification/liliPerforms other duties as assigned/li/ulh3Position Qualifications/h3pCompetency Statement(s)/pulliAccountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions./liliAccuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly./liliAssertiveness - Ability to act in a self-confident manner to facilitate completion of a work assignment or to defend a position or idea./liliCommunication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word./liliCommunication, Written - Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely./liliCustomer Oriented - Ability to take care of the customers needs while following company procedures./liliDetail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task./liliFriendly - Ability to exhibit a cheerful demeanor toward others./liliHonesty / Integrity - Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace./li/ulh3Skills Abilities/h3pEducation: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)/ppExperience: Previous customer service experience required.
