Job Details

Are you an experienced Project Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? We are an established construction company seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Permanent Project Engineer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on exciting and diverse projects, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring their successful delivery. You will work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, consultants, and design teams, providing vital support and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

1. Managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project logs to ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
2. Assisting Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project coordination and documentation, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
3. Tracking project schedules, budgets, and procurement activities to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
4. Coordinating with subcontractors, consultants, and design teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
5. Supporting jobsite meetings and maintaining meeting minutes, ensuring all key decisions and actions are accurately recorded.
6. Reviewing plans, specifications, and contract documents for accuracy and constructability, identifying any potential issues or improvements.
7. Assisting with project closeout documentation and turnover, ensuring all project outcomes are successfully delivered and documented.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
2. Proven experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project logs.
3. Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to assist Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project coordination and documentation.
4. Demonstrable experience tracking project schedules, budgets, and procurement activities.
5. Solid experience coordinating with subcontractors, consultants, and design teams.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support jobsite meetings and maintain meeting minutes.
7. A keen eye for detail, with the ability to review plans, specifications, and contract documents for accuracy and constructability.
8. Experience assisting with project closeout documentation and turnover.
