Manufacturing Project Manager – Capital Projects
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Project Manager to lead capital equipment projects from planning and procurement through installation and production launch. This role requires strong project management skills, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage capital projects from concept through completion.
- Coordinate equipment selection, procurement, and purchase order release.
- Track equipment orders, delivery schedules, and project milestones.
- Lead installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and vendors.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and safely.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma principles.
Priority Requirements
✔ 3–5+ years of Project Management experience in a manufacturing environment.
✔ Experience managing capital equipment installation and facility improvement projects.
✔ Strong project scheduling, planning, and multi-project management skills.
✔ Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
✔ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and schematics.
✔ Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with construction-related manufacturing projects.
- Contract/vendor management and negotiation experience.
- Engineering or technical manufacturing background.
