Orthopedic Surgical Technician

Schedule

07:00 AM - 03:30 PM, Monday through Friday. On-call weekend coverage on a rotational basis.

Job Description

We are seeking a certified Orthopedic Surgical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in various surgical procedures, ensuring the highest level of care in the operating room. This role requires proficiency in a range of specialties and a commitment to excellence in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and management of the OR environment.
• Ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are prepared and sterile.
• Support the surgical team during procedures, particularly in orthopedic surgeries.
• Assist with patient positioning and equipment setup.
• Participate in the cleanup and restocking of the surgical room post-procedure.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must be a certified Surgical Technician to work in New Jersey.
• Experience required in the following specialties: Orthopedics (Total Joints, Fractures), Spine, DaVinci XI Robotics, Urology, Vascular, General/Laparoscopic Procedures, Podiatry, Breast and Plastic Reconstructive Surgeries.
• Current certifications and training in relevant health and safety regulations.
• Completion of health history and immunizations including COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Influenza, TB test, and Hepatitis B.
