The DON/RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans and improve clinical outcomes. Ultimately, the DON/RN ensures that all nursing activities align with the facility's mission to provide compassionate, safe, and effective care to patients and residents. \n Minimum Qualifications: \n \n * Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment. \n * Strong knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and patient care standards. \n * Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. \n \n Preferred Qualifications: \n \n * Previous experience as a Director of Nursing or in a senior nursing management position. \n * Experience working in long-term care, skilled nursing facilities, or similar healthcare settings. \n * Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare management software. \n \n Responsibilities: \n \n * Lead and supervise nursing staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. \n * Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. \n * Coordinate patient care activities with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. \n * Manage nursing budgets, resources, and supplies to maintain operational efficiency. \n * Conduct regular audits and quality assurance activities to uphold high standards of care and patient safety. \n * Provide direct nursing care as needed, demonstrating clinical expertise and serving as a role model for staff. \n * Facilitate ongoing education and professional development opportunities for nursing personnel. \n * Address and resolve patient and family concerns related to nursing care promptly and effectively. \n \n Skills: \n The required skills enable the DON/RN to effectively lead nursing teams, ensuring that patient care is delivered safely and efficiently while complying with regulatory standards.
