Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to determine the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms, utilizing standardized assessment tools.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment programs that are tailored to meet each client's unique needs, preferences, and goals.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate positive client outcomes.

• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care practices to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Monitor and assess client progress on a regular basis, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as required.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated and comprehensive care.

• Stay informed about the latest research and therapeutic advancements related to mood disorders, enhancing clinical practices accordingly.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings and case consultations, contributing to a culture of continuous professional development.

• Act as an advocate for clients by addressing mental health stigma and facilitating access to community resources when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your client base will primarily consist of individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will also be engaged in providing support to vulnerable populations, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. This diverse client focus allows you to make a significant impact in the lives of those traversing challenging experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active LMFT license in the state of New Jersey is required.

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is mandatory.

• Demonstrated ability to establish a secure and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working with mood disorders and populations affected by homelessness or domestic abuse is preferred. Familiarity with trauma-informed care and integrated treatment approaches will be advantageous in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 105,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
