HII’s Mission Technologies is seeking an experiencedF‑16 Instructor Pilotto deliver realistic adversary air tactics training for Air National Guard (ANG) and Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) aircrews. Based atHomestead ARB, this roleinvolves flying red air missions in theF‑16 Mission and Tactics Trainer (MTT), supporting simulated engagements, mission planning, and training exercises. You’ll also provide subject matter expertise on advanced tactics, simulator tools, and debriefing processes to enhance pilot combat readiness. Why This Role Matters Enhances the combat preparedness of ANG and AFRC pilots through immersive simulation Brings real‑world F‑16 experience into high‑impact synthetic training Supports the development of threat‑representative air scenarios to sharpen blue force responses Plays a vital role in strengthening national defense and tactical proficiency Contributes to a culture of mentorship and excellence among the next generation of warfighters What you will do Simulate red air tactics using the F‑16 MTT, including digital cockpit controls and threat systems Operate simulator consoles and conduct debriefs during and after missions Serve as Mission Director or Red Czardepending on training needs Provide subject matter expertise on air tactics, mission planning, and training objectives Coordinate with Weapons Officers and IPs to craft accurate and effective scenarios Develop and modify mission‑planning materials and simulator academics Support scenario execution and event orchestration for maximum training value Report and assist in troubleshooting stimulation software issuesSupervise small teams during operations when required What you must have Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree and 13+ years of relevant experience, OR High school diploma/Equivalent and 19+ years of relevant experience Operational Requirements Current or former F‑16 pilot Strong written and verbal communication skills Able to work on‑site with flexible shifts (mornings/evenings) Security Clearance Must be a U.S. Citizen Must have a current or active DoD Secret clearance Preferred Requirements Experience as an Instructor Pilot (IP) or Flight Evaluator Graduate of the U.S. Air Force Weapons School Current DoD Secret clearance with SCI eligibility Physical Requirements Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
