Diesel Fleet Mechanic

Role Overview Responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel semi-trucks and trailers, ensuring safety standards and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Assess and adhere to maintenance schedules, proactively identifying issues affecting equipment operation. Collaborate with supervisors and document work accurately using maintenance systems. Perform repairs on tractors and trailers, including DOT inspections, brake systems, electrical diagnostics, suspension, and refrigeration components. Maintain service records and ensure proper documentation of all repairs and inspections. Service hydraulic liftgates, and troubleshoot refrigeration and electrical system issues. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED required. 3-5 years related experience in truck and trailer maintenance. Valid Driver’s License required. Must provide and maintain mechanic tools and toolbox. Willing to complete certification for safe operation of material handling equipment, tractors, and trailers. Physical & Work Environment Must frequently lift up to 75 pounds with assistance, work in warehouse conditions with moderate to high noise levels, and be able to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime.
