Our client has a new opportunity for a qualified Deskside Support Technician to join their team onsite in New York, NY. The ideal candidate is independent, resourceful, and comfortable being the face of IT for the office. They take ownership, prioritize on their own, and know when to escalate to remote teams.

Deskside & End-User Support

• Provide hands-on deskside and walk-up support for macOS, accounts and access, SaaS applications, network connectivity, printing, and peripherals
• Own Jira tickets from first touch through resolution, escalating to remote specialist teams as needed
• Provide high-touch support for local leaders and VIPs when required

Onboarding & Offboarding

• Prepare, enroll, and deploy devices for new hires; run onboarding tech orientations
• Recover, wipe, and redeploy equipment for departing employees
• Maintain local inventory, loaners, and stockroom accuracy; coordinate shipping and vendor pickups

Meeting Rooms & Events

• Perform room readiness checks and troubleshoot conferencing, displays, and audio
• Set up and support technology for office events, all-hands, and hybrid meetings
• Travel within NYC to support offsite events, partner locations, or temporary spaces as needed

Site Ownership

• Act as the primary IT point of contact for workplace, facilities, and local leadership
• Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and building management on onsite work
• Maintain site documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base content; communicate site status and issues to remote IT leadership

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of IT support, desktop support, or end-user computing experience
• Experience working independently as a sole or primary onsite IT resource
• Strong troubleshooting experience with macOS and enterprise end-user technology (MDM such as Jamf, SSO/identity tools such as Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom)
• Experience with device onboarding/offboarding and asset management
• Experience supporting conference rooms, video conferencing, and live events
• Experience supporting executives or VIP users preferred
• Basic networking knowledge (Wi-Fi, switching, ISP troubleshooting) preferred
• Experience with Jira or similar ITSM/ticketing systems and structured escalation workflows preferred
• Experience contributing to runbooks and knowledge bases preferred
• Strong prioritization, ownership, and judgment without onsite supervision
• Excellent communication, professionalism, and discretion
• Ability to travel within NYC and lift up to 50 lbs.

Wage Range: The rate for this position is between $24.75 - $33.00 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
