Family Medicine Physician – Independent Practice Track (MedCBO Supported) Job Title: Family Medicine Physician – Independent Practice Physician (Ownership Model, Not Employed) Job Type: Independent Practice Opportunity Overview: This position is for physicians interested in establishing or transitioning to an independently operated medical practice supported by MedCBO’s administrative infrastructure. Physicians own and operate their own practice entity, while MedCBO provides non‑clinical business and operational support services. This is not an employed physician position; physicians may establish or transition a practice in a preferred market subject to state licensure and regulatory requirements. Physician Responsibilities: Provide primary care within the physician’s specialty scope. Develop professional relationships within the medical community. Coordinate payer verification and credentialing as required. Determine the clinical services offered by the practice. Manage clinical quality and patient experience. Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO: Practice formation coordination. Billing and collections management. Payer contract negotiation. Financial infrastructure and reporting. Operational workflows and staffing systems. Technology platform implementation (EHR, telehealth, clinical workflow). Requirements: MD or DO with an unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice. Board certified or board eligible in family medicine or a specialty appropriate to the clinical services provided. Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable. Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates. No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice. Interest in the independent practice model. Preferred: Desire for practice ownership. Community‑based care interest. Leadership or program development interest. Location: Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure. Compensation: Compensation is generated by the physician‑owned practice.
