**Job Description****UW Medical Centers** have an exciting opportunity for an A**dvanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Neonatal Intensive Care team.** The APP will provide exceptional, evidence-based advanced practice medical care to high-risk and well newborns and their families.**Responsibilities*** Provide comprehensive neonatal care under the direct supervision of the attending neonatologist* Function independently within scope of practice* Ensure continuity of care for neonatal patients and families* Bill for services rendered, as appropriate to role**Education & Leadership*** Support and educate residents* Train and onboard new Advanced Practice Providers in neonatal care* Collaborate with nursing leadership* Promote professional development of Neonatal APPs* Support recruitment and retention initiatives for Neonatal APPs**Schedule*** 90%* Variable days and night**Requirements*** Current, valid Washington State license as **Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP)** or **Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C)*** Current Washington State Prescriptive Authority License* ARNP: Current NCC certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner* PA: National board certification (ANA or NAPNAP)* Current Neonatal Resuscitation certification* Master’s degree from an accredited program* Minimum of t**hree (3) years** of experience as an NNP or PA in a Level III NICU* Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration**UW MEDICAL CENTERS**UW Medical Centers are acute care academic medical centers located in Seattle.
