Night Shift Float Nurse

UW Medical CenterNorthwest - Acute Care Resource Team has an excellent opportunity for a Night Shift Float Nurse.

Work Schedule:

• 3x12 shift schedule
• Straight nights (7:00pm-7:30am)
• Rotating weekend shifts required

Department Description: Our Resource Team provides short term and long term staffing coverage on our inpatient acute care units, which include our telemetry, medical-surgical, rehabilitation, and surgical services floors. This position will also have cross-training opportunities on our specialty units, including the Emergency Department, ICU, Childbirth Center, and our inpatient behavioral health floors. This is a great opportunity to provide bedside care in a role where no two shifts are alike.

Position Highlights:

• Work on a variety of inpatient units
• Join a team where no two shifts are alike
• Cross-train on our specialty floors, including behavioral health
• Provide life-changing care for our hospital patients

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Identify care needs across a broad spectrum of hospital departments
• Triage patient care priorities in collaboration with the nursing supervisor
• Work alongside doctors, social workers, care managers, and therapists
• Restore patients' health by following evidence-based nursing practices
• Monitor and administer medications and IVs

Requirements:

• 3 years of acute care inpatient hospital nursing experience
• BLS
• Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
• Exposure to behavioral health nursing or a willingness to learn the fundamentals of behavioral health nursing

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details:

Pay Range Minimum: $51.97 hourly

Pay Range Maximum: $91.17 hourly

Other Compensation:

BSN (or higher) premium - $1.00/hour

Certification premium - $1.25/hour

Night premium - $5.00/hour

Weekend premium (Fridays and Saturdays) - $4.00/hour

Sunday night premium - $3.00/hour
