Research Associate II

NEW Full Time The Research and Development (R&D) Associate II is responsible for performing research activities, collecting and analyzing data, and preparing reports. They work closely with a team of scientists, engineers, or technicians to conduct experiments, analyze data, and contribute to the overall R&D efforts. Key Responsibilities Assist in the planning and execution of research projects or experiments. Conduct literature reviews and gather relevant information on specific research areas. Design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses or validate new ideas. Gather data through various methods, such as experiments, surveys, or interviews. Analyze data to identify patterns and interpret findings. Prepare technical reports or provide content for technical reports outlining research, outcomes, and observations. Communicate with stakeholders on progress and manage risk. Maintain attention to detail to ensure accuracy of data and findings. Assist in the development or improvement of products, processes, or technologies. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives. Document experimental procedures, results, and observations accurately. Troubleshoot technical issues and propose solutions. Keep up to date with the latest advancements in the field through literature review or attending conferences. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols. Qualifications & Requirements Must possess the appropriate level of certifications required by the contract. Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment, and property. Must have an understanding of their field of expertise and possess scientific or technical knowledge with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two to four (2–4) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Demands Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers, printers, and light traffic.
