Dietary Manager: Lead Nutrition & Compliance

DIETARY MANAGER

As a Dietary Manager, you'll partner with our Dietitian to plan, organize, and direct the overall operation of our Dietary Department, ensuring that quality nutritional services are provided to our residents on a daily basis. Your leadership and expertise will be instrumental in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for our residents. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the Dietary Department
• Develop and maintain written job descriptions and performance evaluations for dietary personnel
• Review policies, procedure manuals, and job descriptions for revisions and make recommendations
• Inspect food storage rooms, utility closets, and other areas for upkeep and supply control
• Process diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Department
• Review departmental complaints and grievances from personnel and make written reports
• Assist during resident discharge planning
• Participate in facility surveys and maintain records of resident food likes and dislikes
• Review therapeutic and regular diet plans and menus for compliance with physician's orders
• Ensure charted dietary progress notes are informative and descriptive
• Maintain stock levels of staple and non-staple food, supplies, and equipment
• Assist the Infection Control Committee in developing aseptic and isolation techniques
• Ensure dietary service work areas, food storage, and food preparation areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification required
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or related medical facility
• Knowledgeable of dietary practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing dietary functions in nursing care facilities
