Payroll & Accounting Specialist

Day-to-Day Core Responsibilities:Reconcile payroll disbursements and ensure payroll transactions are accurate.Code payroll-related expenses to the appropriate general ledger (GL) accounts (which will be trained)Gather and validate payroll and financial data for processing and reporting.Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries in QuickBooks.Maintain a strong understanding of the organization's chart of accounts and GL structure.Process full-cycle payroll, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.Reconcile employee hours and payroll expenses.Review coach employment agreements to verify pay rates, stipends, and compensation structures.Process payroll deductions, including garnishments and other withholdings.Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and reconciliation issues.Ensure compliance with payroll policies, tax regulations, and internal controls.Columbus, OH, USOn-SiteProfessional Services - Other Vaco$ 28.00 - 30.00 hourly contract-to-hire
