Staff Accountant

Summary The Staff Accountant will use business and accounting skills to maintain and evaluate operational data for the Armstrong - Atlanta/Doraville agency. The Staff Accountant is responsible for agency-level accounting functions, including, but not limited to, general accounting, payables & receivables, financial reporting, spend analysis, material & labor variance analysis, billing & invoicing, and forecasting. Note This is an on-site position. Key Responsibilities Financial responsibilities include General Ledgers, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing and Invoicing, Revenue Distribution, and Financial Reporting. Ensure all defined work is performed within the timeframes allotted for each functional financial process. Ensure all billing functions including invoicing, revenue distribution, and rating are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure compliance with all accounting and financial policies, practices, procedures, and initiatives at the Plant level. Background in billing for Military or Government entities strongly preferred. Manage all accounting, bookkeeping, and financial matters. Any other duties as assigned by the manager. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in either accounting or finance required. Experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word), required. Understanding of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures. Ability and willingness to keep maintain confidentiality. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently. Physical Requirements Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 10 pounds.
