Hanscom AFB, MA | Full-Time | On-Site

Pay: $21.02–$21.50/hour, plus SCA Health & Welfare benefit ($5.09/hr) Schedule: Full-time, 2,080 hours/year (standard business hours, M&FRC operating schedule) Location: 10 Kirkland St., Bldg. 1240, Hanscom AFB, MA 01731 Start Date: On or after 30 September 2026

About the Role

We are hiring a Front Desk Data Entry Specialist to support the 66th Force Support Squadron's Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) at Hanscom Air Force Base. This is the first point of contact for service members and families visiting or calling the M&FRC — a role that combines front-desk customer service with accurate, timely data entry in support of Transition Assistance Program (TAP) services.

What You'll Do

• Answer phones and greet visitors, determining the purpose of each call or visit
• Direct clients to the appropriate M&FRC program manager
• Schedule clients for M&FRC classes and workshops
• Enter and maintain client and program data in the AFFIRST (Air Force Family Integrated Result Statistical Tracking) database
• Input TAP data and resources in the AFFIRST web application
• Send class/workshop reminder emails per program manager timelines
• Perform general clerical and administrative support duties
• Provide clear, accurate answers to routine procedural questions

What You'll Need

• Strong customer service and phone etiquette
• Accurate, efficient data entry skills (85% accuracy standard)
• Comfort learning and working in government database systems (AFFIRST)
• Reliable, professional, well-organized — this is a front-facing role on a military installation
• Ability to pass a Tier 1 background investigation/fingerprinting and obtain base access (CAC/LAN credentials)
• REAL ID-compliant driver's license or acceptable secondary ID for base access (per REAL ID Act of 2005)
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior clerical, reception, or data entry experience preferred
