Data Analyst

The Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing sales performance across physical titles and digital downloads, and planning and executing digital promotions. This role will transform raw data into actionable insights for Publishing, Marketing, and Executive teams. In addition, the Data Analyst will collaborate closely with the Accounting team to prepare, clean, and edit Excel files related to sales reporting, royalty calculations, and other revenue‑related datasets. Duties and Responsibilities Analyze sales data for video games, digital downloads across multiple platforms and regions and storefront trends. Identify trends, performance drivers, and anomalies to support business decisions. Create charts and reports to visualize sales performance for internal stakeholders. Track KPIs such as sell‑through, digital conversion, DLC attach rates, and platform‑specific performance. Provide regular and ad‑hoc analysis to Marketing and Executive teams. Plan and help execute digital sales promotions across platforms, including selection of titles, discount tiers, and timing Propose and build game and DLC bundles, determining appropriate pricing and positioning Track, measure, and report on promotional outcomes to guide future campaigns and business decisions Stay informed on competitive trends and market shifts to identify new sales opportunities Data Management & Reporting Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from internal systems, platform partners, and external vendors. Maintain accurate internal calendars and databases for promotions, price changes, and digital sales plans Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles with timely data preparation. Accounting Support Assist the Accounting team by preparing and editing Excel files used for sales reconciliation, royalty calculations, and others. Validate data accuracy and ensure consistency across multiple sources. Help streamline and improve existing Excel‑based workflows and templates. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with Marketing, Accounting, and D2C teams to understand data needs and deliver clear, actionable insights. Communicate findings in a concise, business‑friendly manner. Other Duties Support special projects related to data automation, forecasting, or process improvement. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in digital sales, commercial planning, or game publishing operations Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel or other data analysis tools Familiarity with digital storefronts (e.g. PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop, Steam, Xbox Store) Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication abilities Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners Preferred Qualifications Experience working directly with international distributors or platform partners Familiarity with game pricing models, lifecycle management, or regional pricing practices Experience with business intelligence tools or dashboards (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker) Interest or background in video game publishing or digital content strategy Other Requirements Supervisory Responsibilities: No Key Attributes Strong passion to introduce our game titles to the market Solid verbal and written English communication Good time management / Ability to meet schedules and deadlines Good sense for numbers / mathematics Critical thinking and problem-solving Planning and organizing Team participation with respect Multi-tasking A person of integrity Stress tolerance Detail Oriented Steady and prudent A love for Japanese games!

Work is typically performed either in an office environment with a moderate noise level or at your home. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to frequently sit and occasionally must stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and may lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include the ability to read and analyze data in hard copy and on a computer screen, measure, or identify using eyesight and adjust vision focus. Abilities to communicate verbally and in writing to individuals and groups.
