As a Mechanical Engineer the responsibilities will include all aspects of the Special Tooling Mechanical design process from concept to model / drawing completion for Special Tools and Special Test Fixtures of low to moderate complexity required to support product builds for each assigned task working under the general supervision of a team lead. Some assembly of your designs may be required. You will work closely with product engineers, quality engineers, test engineers, industrial engineers, and operations leaders on product manufacturing.Our multi-disciplined team consists of high-engaged members with a variety of backgrounds and experience levels with a culture of inclusion, support, growth opportunities, and recognizing contributions. We are specifically seeking candidates who are hands-on, adaptable in a fast-paced environment, proactive, take ownership of work, communicate well with others, and enjoy solving unique problems every day.What You Will DoProficient use of Creo for modeling and drawing creation.Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production tooling.Participate in multi-discipline team to design, procure and build custom tooling that support assembly and test of Raytheon products.Engage with program engineers, Program Management, and operations leadership to define tooling requirements.Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes and have technical discussions for tool fabrication.Qualifications You Must HaveMaster's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Engineering Science, Physics, Math, or related (STEM) major obtained by start date.Experience with 3D CAD modeling.Experience utilizing Computer Aided Design tools such as CREO.Qualifications We Prefer3.0 cumulative GPA desired.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including a basic knowledge, and understanding of GD&T.Computer proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel and Word.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers who have diverse experiences, communities, and cultures.What We OfferOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
