Location: Bloomingdale, IL
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time / Direct Hire
Overview:
Summit Staffing is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II to support a manufacturing facility in the Bloomingdale area. This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC machinery and other production equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical and electrical background and is comfortable diagnosing equipment problems in a machine shop or manufacturing environment. Previous hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC machinery is required for this position. Please see below for additional information.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair CNC machinery and other production equipment
Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs
Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Diagnose equipment failures and replace or repair defective components
Repair and replace motors, belts, switches, wiring, fuses, and other machine components
Use multimeters, hand tools, and power tools to diagnose and complete repairs
Read and interpret electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and repair instructions
Perform preventive maintenance on CNC machines and other production equipment
Inspect machine components for wear, damage, and misalignment
Dismantle machinery as needed to access and repair problem areas
Test machinery after repairs to ensure proper operation
Assist with installation of new production machinery and equipment
Respond to emergency breakdowns and unscheduled equipment repairs
Help develop and improve preventive maintenance procedures
Perform general facility maintenance as needed
Document completed maintenance and repair work
Required Experience / Qualifications:
3+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
Hands-on experience repairing and troubleshooting CNC machinery is required
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
Electrical troubleshooting experience
Ability to use an electrical multimeter
Experience working with motors, wiring, switches, and other electrical components
Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Ability to read electrical schematics
Comfortable using hand and power tools
Previous maintenance experience in a machine shop, metal fabrication, CNC machining, or similar manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
Ability to read equipment manuals, safety procedures, and maintenance instructions
Associate or technical degree in a related field is preferred but not required with relevant experience
