Equipment Maintenance Technician II

Akkodis is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician II for a Contract with a client in Hanover Park, IL. The ideal candidate with experience supporting the maintenance, repair, and optimization of manufacturing equipment to ensure efficient and reliable production operations.


Rate Range: $25/hour to $47/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Equipment Maintenance Technician II Job Responsibilities include:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electro-mechanical production equipment to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize manufacturing downtime.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, and calibration activities using test and diagnostic equipment in accordance with established procedures.
• Disassemble, rebuild, adjust, and assemble manufacturing equipment based on blueprints, schematics, repair manuals, and technical drawings.
• Support equipment installation, relocation, and commissioning activities while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Train and coordinate with machine operators on equipment maintenance procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, document repairs and preventive maintenance activities, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or an equivalent technical discipline.
• 2-5 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with electro-mechanical diagnostics, preventive maintenance, calibration, equipment repair, and the use of test/measurement equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, with experience supporting equipment installation, rebuilding, and production operations.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $47.00 per hour
