Maintenance Technician II - 3rd Shift

Production Machinery TechnicianResponsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and setting up of production machinery and mechanical equipment. Performs corrective and preventive maintenance, focusing on maintaining desirable production and quality levels with maximum safety standards. Self-motivated, with the ability to complete assigned tasks with the minimal amount of supervision. Fluency in English is mandatory.Responsibilities of the Position:Perform advanced troubleshooting on packaging lines, perform immediate repairs, execute preventative maintenance on packaging linesAssemble and install new equipment and packaging linesAssist with packaging line setups if neededProvide Maintenance support during product trialsAssist with and train Operators on autonomous maintenance proceduresSuggest, request, and manage parts and inventory to ensure timely maintenance and repair operations.Comply with requirements regarding logged work in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Resolve work requests that come in via radio callsEscalate issues using the help chain and participate in DMS 1 communicationsSuccessfully train Maintenance Technician I associates on maintaining primary packaging equipmentRebuild and fabricate partsMaintain 5S standards and a clean and safe work areaEnforce company rules regarding safety, discipline, cooperation, and teamwork. Comply with OSHA safety and GMP standardsPerform other duties as assigned by ManagementQualifications:3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience requiredExperience in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) preferredExperience in food environment preferredHigh school diploma or GED requiredAbility to perform technical skills including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machinesCan read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service, research parts needed to ensure adequate inventoryWelding, fabrication, and machining skills preferredElectrical troubleshooting experience preferredRequired to supply own toolsAverage math skillsAbility to use a handheld tabletAbility to learn the CMMS used at CW (ManagerPlus)Ability to communicate effectively at all levelsFood Safety Responsibilities:Attend all food safety training sessions (GMP, SQF, HACCP, Allergen, Food Facility Security, Preventing Foodborne Illness)Participate in company GMP walksEnforce company rules regarding food safety and monitoringWorking Conditions:Office setting and warehouse environment with temperature range of 55 – 80 degreesSome tasks may require working near localized thermal elements that can cause the perceived temperature to be higher until the task is completedThis position may require the employee to work weekends or shifts other than their own to meet the needs of the businessThis position may require the employee to work at facilities other than their own to meet the needs of the businessWorking shifts between 8 and 12 hoursCapable of complying with all Safety requirements including but not limited to Bump Cap/Hard Hat, Safety Eyewear, Hearing Protection and Safety Boots ($150 stipend for Safety Boots will be provided every other year)Able to work in a facility where milk, eggs, peanuts, soy, and/or wheat allergens are processed, with or without accommodationPhysical Requirements:Physical dexterity to perform installation and troubleshooting work with the facilities (interior and exterior) safely and efficiently.Abilities may include but are not limited to:Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate toolsBending at the waistKneeling, crouching, standing for extended periods of timeReaching above the head to store or retrieve materialsHearing and speaking to exchange informationSeeing to perform skilled work and read meters or gaugesLifting and carrying heavy equipment or materialsWorking in cramped spacesUse ladders, scaffolding, and/or a scissor lift while performing job duties
