Direct Sales Representative, Intermediate – DualsThe Direct Sales Representative, Intermediate – Duals is responsible for educating and enrolling qualified dually eligible beneficiaries into the Blue Shield Duals Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) through inbound and outbound telephonic interactions. The Direct Sales Representative, Intermediate – Duals will report to the Sr. Manager of Duals Outreach and Events and will support the growth and retention of Blue Shield's D-SNP by providing compliant, accurate, and compassionate guidance to a highly specialized and vulnerable population. In this role you will be responding to inbound call inquiries about Blue Shield's D-SNP, place outbound calls based on lead campaigns, direct mail and other marketing campaigns, and complete the education and sale of products and services.Our leadership model is about developing great leaders at all levels and creating opportunities for our people to grow – personally, professionally, and financially. We are looking for leaders that are energized by creative and critical thinking, building and sustaining high-performing teams, getting results the right way, and fostering continuous learning.ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:Acquire new members via direct sales, marketing channels, referrals, and cold leadsPromote dual product plans over the phone, clearly explaining health options and educating consumersFoster ongoing relationships with beneficiaries through follow-up service to aid retentionDevelop call strategies, manage a sales portfolio, qualify prospects, and close salesInform potential members about D-SNP benefits, eligibility, and differences among Medicare plansPresent plan options clearly and impartially to help beneficiaries make informed choicesComplete telephonic enrollments accurately and compliantlyMeet or exceed enrollment, productivity, and quality goalsSchedule appointments for in-home visits and telephonic enrollments as neededEnsure application completeness and accuracy before processingCollaborate with departments and provide administrative support as business needs changeQualificationsYour knowledge and experience:Requires at least 3 years of prior relevant experienceRequired health plan sales experienceRequires an active Health and Life License in the state of CaliforniaRequires Medicare-Medi-Cal or dual eligible knowledgePreferred bilingual (Spanish, Chinese, or other Medi-Cal threshold languages)Preferred basic knowledge of systems including but not limited to AEVs, Marx, Salesforce and FacetsPreferred knowledge of BSC products/services and eligibility requirementsAbout UsAbout Blue Shield of CaliforniaAs of January 2025, Blue Shield of California became a subsidiary of Ascendiun.
