Accountabilities:

The Senior Developer Relations Advocate will drive developer engagement strategies, create impactful technical content, and represent developer needs across the organization. This role requires a combination of technical depth, communication excellence, and the ability to build trusted relationships with developers and internal stakeholders.

• Execute developer advocacy strategies across digital channels, community platforms, events, conferences, panels, and meetups.
• Build and maintain relationships with developers, technical leaders, and community members to increase awareness and engagement.
• Advocate for developer needs by gathering feedback, identifying challenges, and influencing product improvements.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, developer content, and marketing teams to enhance developer experiences.
• Review product capabilities, documentation, SDKs, and technical resources to ensure they meet developer expectations.
• Develop and deliver high-quality technical content, including blog posts, tutorials, videos, documentation, and code samples.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging, and accessible resources for developer audiences.
• Identify emerging technology trends and provide insights that support product strategy and community growth.
• Support cross-functional initiatives that align developer engagement efforts with broader business objectives.
• Help solve technical challenges and provide guidance that enables developers to build better applications.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation, a passion for developer communities, and experience communicating complex technology concepts in an engaging way. You should be comfortable influencing cross-functional teams, creating technical content, and representing developer perspectives.

• Technical background with hands-on experience building, supporting, or explaining software technologies.
• Experience creating technical content or engaging with developer audiences through advocacy, education, or community initiatives.
• Strong ability to explain complex concepts through clear written and verbal communication.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, product, and marketing teams to deliver developer-focused initiatives.
• Familiarity with AI tools and AI-assisted development practices.
• Understanding of identity, authentication, or authorization technologies is a plus.
• Experience with authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth, OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, or LDAP is preferred.
• Knowledge of application security concepts, including password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption, XSS, and XSRF.
• Experience developing web, mobile, or IoT applications using front-end and back-end technologies.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and advocate for customer and developer needs.
• Experience in developer advocacy, senior technical content, technical customer success, or similar roles is highly valued.
