Position Summary... What you'll do... As a Senior Software Engineer at Walmart, you will lead the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will drive the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment, while integrating advanced AI/ML components to enhance platform capabilities. You will mentor peers, promote engineering excellence, and ensure high-quality outcomes that align with Walmart’s strategic goals and commitment to innovation and operational excellence. **Immigration Sponsorship support will NOT be available for this position** About the team: The team leads modernization efforts within the SAMs Replenishment area by delivering scalable and maintainable software solutions through collaborative engineering and a product-focused approach. Emphasizing iterative development, rigorous code review, and continuous integration, members apply strong technical skills in platform design and development. The group integrates advanced technologies, including generative AI, to drive innovation. Team members collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate complex requirements into effective solutions, ensuring high-quality delivery and system performance. This environment promotes continuous learning, technical excellence, and proactive problem-solving to meet evolving business needs. What you'll do: Lead delivery of scoped features and models through collaborative engineering teams, ensuring alignment with platform and system objectives. Develop, test, and maintain high-quality, efficient code using multiple programming languages and best practices. Integrate AI/ML components and leverage generative AI tools to enhance software capabilities and development efficiency. Participate in solution design, conduct code reviews, and apply sound technical judgment to build scalable, secure systems. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and measurable outcomes. Monitor application performance, support CI/CD pipelines, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Mentor peers and contribute to knowledge sharing and engineering excellence.

What you'll bring: 6 years of experience with developing and supporting complex systems using Java/JEE, Spring, Spark, Databases: Relational (Azure SQL, Postgres), Cloud: Azure/GCP Cloud Platform, Airflow DAGs, micro-services architectures, event-based architecture (Kafka), Kubernetes, Docker), Big query database Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices. Strong experience delivering scoped features and managing full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing. Proficiency in debugging, code review, and continuous development methodologies. Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions aligned with platform and business objectives. Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance development efficiency. Effective collaboration and communication skills to engage stakeholders and cross-functional teams. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
