Vendor Management Counsel

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Vendor Management Counsel in Seattle, WA. This role offers the flexibility of a hybrid or fully remote work arrangement. The successful candidate will join a dynamic internal legal team, supporting various business functions and managing vendor relationships. Duties Serve as primary lawyer for vendor and supplier contracts across all business functions. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including technology and AI-related contracts. Coordinate with attorneys specializing in privacy, data security, and technology transactions. Partner with business stakeholders to identify legal risks and align contract terms with internal policies. Support and maintain standard contract templates and clause guidance. Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise on implications for contracts and vendor relationships. Work closely with contract administrator to manage the firm's contract portfolio. Requirements J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; active bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Minimum 3 years of experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including technology agreements. Strong drafting, negotiation, and business-partnering skills. Familiarity with generative AI contracting concepts and data privacy frameworks. Ability to manage a high volume of matters with competing deadlines. Education J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications Active bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Skills Strong drafting and negotiation skills. Business-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate risk clearly. Familiarity with AI governance considerations and contract lifecycle management systems.
