Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and business-minded Associate Sales Representative to join its growing sales organization. This role is designed as an entry point into a long-term sales career and provides a structured pathway into a quota-carrying Sales Representative position within approximately 18-24 months.

Unlike traditional entry-level sales roles, this is not a cold-calling, prospecting, or business development position. Instead, the Associate Sales Representative will partner closely with experienced Sales Representatives and Sales Executives, supporting active opportunities while developing expertise in financial analysis, customer engagement, consultative selling, and solution-based sales.

This position is ideal for professionals with strong analytical, financial, consulting, energy, operations, or customer-facing experience who are looking to transition into a sales career.

Career Development Path

First 6-12 Months

Learn the company's solutions, services, and value proposition.

Provide operational and administrative support to the sales team.

Develop proficiency in financial analysis, ROI calculations, and business case development.

Gain exposure to enterprise sales cycles and customer engagement strategies.

Assist with customer meetings, proposal development, and deal support activities.

Months 6-18

Attend customer meetings alongside Sales Representatives.

Build and maintain financial models and business cases.

Support customer discussions and solution presentations.

Take on increasing responsibility for customer-facing interactions.

Develop expertise in the company's offerings and sales process.

Long-Term Growth

Successful individuals will have a clear path toward promotion into a Sales Representative role with increasing ownership of customer relationships and revenue-generating opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Support Sales Representatives throughout the sales cycle.

Develop financial models, ROI analyses, and value-based business cases for prospective customers.

Analyze operational, financial, and business data to support customer recommendations.

Prepare customer presentations, proposals, and meeting materials.

Participate in customer meetings and coordinate follow-up activities.

Assist in evaluating new sales opportunities and customer requirements.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support deal execution and customer success.

Maintain accurate CRM data, opportunity tracking, and sales reporting.

Assist with pipeline management and forecasting activities.

Continuously expand knowledge of industry trends, customer challenges, and company solutions.

This is a remote direct hire role offering 90-110K with a chance of an annual company bonus as well.

Skills and Requirements

• Demonstrated business and financial acumen.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Background in Financial consulting, Banking, Investment, or customer facing financials

• Desire for a long term Sales Career path (quota, cold calling, etc)

• Experience in one of the following financial backgrounds: Return on Investment (ROI), Financial modeling, Cost-benefit analysis, Capital investment evaluation, Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC)

• Candidates should possess experience in at least two of the following three areas:

• Finance

• Energy
