Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday

We operate on a true "all-hands-on-deck" culture. From slicing brisket to ordering behind the counter to taking out the trash at the end of the night, everyone pitches in to keep LX BBQ running at peak performance.

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Lead Meat Cutter to join our pit crew and kitchen team. In this role, you will prep and slice high volumes of meats (brisket, pork ribs, pulled pork, sausage, etc.) with precision and consistency. You will work closely with our pitmasters to ensure every cut meets our strict quality, yield, and food safety standards.

You will also interact with customers and keep a customer-first mindset. We want everyone that steps through our doors to feel welcomed and the folks behind the counter play a big part in that.

• Equipment Operation: Safely operate and clean your equipment and work station
• Inventory & Yield Control: Help manage and track inventory
• Sanitation & Safety: Maintain a spotless cutting station; sanitize all surfaces and tools frequently to prevent cross-contamination
  

Who We're Looking For:

• A Team Player First: You believe no job is beneath you. You’re ready to roll up your sleeves, mop floors, bus tables, unload stock, and do whatever it takes to support your team.
• Experienced in Hospitality: A culinary background or prior restaurant/food service management experience is strongly preferred.
• Hands-On & Engaged: You excel in front of guests and behind the counter, bringing high energy and a positive attitude into every shift.
• Growth-Minded: You are eager to help build and scale a locally-owned Kentucky brand with a passionate local following.
• Safety & Quality Focused: You have high personal standards for sanitation, food safety, and orderliness.

Requirements:

• Active Certified Food Manager permit (or willingness to obtain one prior to start date/within 30 days)
• Availability to work full day/evening shifts Wednesday through Saturday
• Ability to pass a standard background check.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs and handle active kitchen/FOH environments
