HIM Analyst

Job Summary Accurately analyzes and reanalyzes medical records in Cerner and meets established productivity standards based upon record type. Essential Functions Accurately facilitates the medical staff chart completion process by assisting physicians and other hospital staff. Notifies physicians of incomplete charts in a timely manner by email, fax, phone calls, and mailed letters. Performs quality control to ensure the integrity, completeness, and legibility of scanned patient records. Notifies the Medical Staff office when a physician is removed from the suspension list. Creates an Excel spreadsheet of physicians’ incomplete charts on a weekly basis. Provides routine information in a courteous, timely, and efficient manner to the director. Accurately removes completed charts from the system and ensures accuracy of existing deficiencies when updating. Provides spreadsheets from the DNFB report (Inpatient, Outpatient, Emergency Room, and Same Day Service) to the Revenue Cycle Daily Work Session Team daily. Performs other duties as assigned in a positive manner that promotes teamwork and the best interests of the organization. Minimum Education/Certifications High School Diploma Minimum Work Experience Preferred experience in Health Information Management. Works in a timely manner; is accurate and detail oriented. Is able to work in a team. Has strong computer skills. Position Type / Expected Hours of Work Must be willing to work holidays, weekends and provide additional coverage as needed. Compensation and Benefits CareWell Health provides a salary/hourly rate range for all open positions to comply with New Jersey Law. The salary/hourly rate range for this position is: $20–$25.
