Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU to provide high-quality post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will be skilled in patient assessment, airway management, pain control, and post-operative recovery while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive post-anesthesia patient assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor airway status, oxygenation, and pain management needs.
• Maintain emergency readiness and ensure equipment functionality.
• Evaluate patients for discharge readiness and provide detailed handoff reports.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and care teams.

Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania RN License .
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience .
• Previous PACU and/or ICU experience preferred.
• Ability to participate in on-call rotations.
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred.
