Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Burns/Surgical ICU position requiring active MA licensure and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Burn ICU of a major academic hospital setting
• Care for adult complex surgical patients including burns along with acutely ill medical patients (SICU and MICU-type cases)
• Thermal burn patients currently make up less than 10% of the unit's population
• Unit operates under a closed ICU model with a multispecialty care team including APPs, residents, and 24/7 in-house attending physicians
• 36 hours per week on a rotating day/night schedule
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• 13-week assignment length
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required at time of consideration; pending or conditional licenses not accepted
• Both NURSYS and Board of Nursing verification required for licensure
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing support within a collaborative, multispecialty ICU team model
• Work alongside APPs, residents, critical care fellows, and attending physicians in a closed ICU structure
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Boston, MA may be considered at a reduced rate
• RTO must be disclosed prior to consideration for the role
