Project Manager (MMIS Operations)

Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience in IT project and program management leading complex system implementations.

• Proficiency in Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS), claims, and encounter processing operations.

• Experience with healthcare operations management, MCO enrollment workflows, and vendor SLA governance.

• Experience in incident management, 24/7 on-call escalation procedures, and ticketing systems.

• Experience with drafting standard operating procedures (SOPs), process flows, and training desk aids.

• Experience in release management, backlog grooming, change control approval gates, and AWS cloud environments.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, maintenance, and technical support for enterprise healthcare and encounter processing platforms.

• Lead cross-functional project teams managing software releases, readiness checks, and post-implementation monitoring.

• Manage external vendor delivery performance, track service level agreements (SLAs), and coordinate contract monitors.

• Direct incident response workflows, ticket prioritization, and technical issue mitigation across production systems.

• Design and implement standard operating procedures, technical process flows, and operational desk aids.

• Enforce compliance with federal and state cybersecurity standards, CMS regulations, and audit recommendations.

• Facilitate change management activities, backlog grooming sessions, and stakeholder communication plans.
