Overview Volunteer Intern – Mayor's Office of Press and Communications (Unpaid). The internship provides an introduction to a top-tier communications and press organization within the City of Chicago and involves general administrative support, transcription and media monitoring, and handling special projects as needed. Responsibilities Assist with transcription and media monitoring. Provide administrative support and handle special projects as assigned. Contribute to team efforts and support the Mayor's Office of Press and Communications as needed. Minimum Qualifications Current college or city college student in good academic standing, enrolled in an accredited two- or four-year program. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5/4.0 or 3.5/5.0. Preferences Preference given to students with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Notes All projects assigned are confidential with time-sensitive deadlines.
