Job Summary:
Med-Surgical Neurology Floor nurse position in an Overland Park healthcare facility. The role involves providing patient care on a busy, fast-paced unit specializing in neurology and general surgery procedures. The position offers guaranteed hours and a start date of December 14, 2026, with an end date of March 15, 2027.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid healthcare professional license, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and no minimum years of experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Dysthymia class
• Float: Float rotation may be required to Med/Surg or surgical specialty floors
• Additional Information: The unit has 32 beds with a staff of 49, including charge nurses, registered nurses, patient care technicians, and unit secretaries. Typical procedures include total joint replacements, complex spine care, neuro surgeries, and general surgeries. The environment is very team-oriented, fast-paced, requiring adaptable and cooperative staff. Candidates should wear royal blue scrubs or similar attire, and rotations include weekends (every 3rd weekend) and occasional nights (Friday/Saturday/Sunday).
