Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Speech Language Pathologist provides assessment and therapy services in a pediatric outpatient setting, with additional inpatient adult coverage as needed. This role involves evaluating and treating patients to improve communication and swallowing functions.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' speech, language, and cognitive-communication abilities through comprehensive assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Document patient progress and modify therapy strategies accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with licensing and facility policies, including documentation and reporting requirements.
• Maintain timely completion of required lab work and fingerprinting per state regulations.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of Minnesota.
• Possess at least 1 year of relevant clinical experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pediatric therapy and adult inpatient care.
• Be willing to work the designated schedule, including holidays and potentially some RTO flexibility with prior approval.
• Comply with travel and licensing requirements, including fingerprinting within mandated timeframes.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly with patients and colleagues.
