Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general accounting, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the organization's financial success while partnering with various departments across the business. 75-80k DOE Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts. Analyze financial data and investigate variances. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed. Prepare financial reports and schedules for management review. Assist with audits by gathering documentation and responding to auditor requests. Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls. Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2+ years of accounting experience preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles. Experience with ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Public accounting experience a plus. Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation.
